‘Save the Sound’ publishes an annual water quality rating for different sub segments of the Sound. It is a very intersting read, albeit not super surprising which segments of the sound have cleaner, and dirtier, water. You can download the full report via the link below. As fisherman, or even boaters, or even someone who just likes to go for a swim-it’s our duty to be protectors of this fragile body of water. If you see something, say something. We have a local harbormaster in Norwalk, and Save the Sound has a Soundkeeper who can be reached if you see something going into our waterways that shouldn’t be. And it goes without saying, do your own part to keep your own waste out of the water, it doesn’t hurt to grab a piece of floating trash every trip out there. Bless UP my friends.
